One down, how many more to go? I have been on a “getting all the stuff on my sewing to do list done” done; and overall, it has been going pretty well. Of course being the quilter that I am, I have also started some quilts during the process, but lets not focus on that. This is one of my most recently finished quilts, I have had this fabric for a number of years (I’m ashamed to give you the actual number). A friend came to visit me when I first bought my house, we went and picked out some fabric she liked and I promised I would make her a quilt with it. So much time has gone by that she probably doesn’t even recognize the fabric she had once picked out, hope she still likes pink!
Our friendship began while we were in college, I want her to know how important our friendship was to me. She went to orientation with me when I didn’t know a single person at the whole college, she let me stay in her house when I moved into an apartment building that was overtaken with little critters, but my most fond memory was when she picked me up from the doctor’s office after I had my wisdom teeth removed. It was short notice and she wast there in a matter of minutes; she took me home, put me to bed but not without first telling me which medications to take and when. Knowing I was completely incoherent she labeled each bottle with a 1, 2 and 3 and wrote down on a piece of paper with a 1, 2 and 3 what time to take each.
Unfortunately sometimes miles apart puts restrictions on your relationship. She has since moved to Colorado with her beautiful family, I wish her the best of luck and hope to stay in contact through the upcoming years.
