Happy 4th of July!

Hope everyone had a happy 4th!  We spent the day relaxing, then went and met some friends for dinner and headed over to the US National Whitewater Center to listen to the band and watch the fireworks.  We had a great time, there was a HUGE turnout — I have never seen it so busy!  Good music, good friends, good… line dancing?

Don’t worry, you won’t find me in there — I know better than to be dancing in front of everyone.  There was someone else in our group that couldn’t be up there either, but for different reasons…

She had survived a motorcycle accident a few weeks ago and managed to miraculously scrape by with a broken ankle and some road rash.  Her helmet say’s “Never fly faster than your guardian angel”, I would say her guardian angel must have been keeping up just fine in order for her to “walk” away from that accident.  She decided she wanted to decorate her cast and found these cool things called “casttoos“, they are decals for your casts ranging from flames to butterflies.  I have never heard so many compliments on a cast before!

The best thing about getting my hair cut today was to find out that someone had a long arm quilter up over the beauty shop. Lee Ann left you a note and I hope to have you call me soon. I have just finished a dresden plate quilt and am struggling to find an appropriate quilting process to complete it. I have several friends that quilt and one of them has another Dresden almost ready to quilt and we are hoping to find someone whom “I” can afford and is close by. Will be waiting to hear from you so that I can come down to your shop and see you and Millie. Eloise A. Buthe
